What Is Flow and Flower?
We have talked about this again and again over the years.
When our flow is blocked, problems begin.
When the flow of the body, mind, and energy is interrupted, little by little, we lose touch with our natural vitality.
Flow means to move freely and continuously. In psychology, it also describes a state of deep focus and complete involvement in what we are doing.
I don’t think these two meanings are so different.
To restore a flow that has been blocked, sometimes we first need to stop.
We breathe.
We bring our attention back to our breath and movement, and become deeply present with our body and energy. Practices such as meditation and Tai Chi can help us return to this natural flow.
And slowly, something begins to move again.
We are not trying to create something new. We are returning to the flow that has always been within us.
And when that flow comes alive again, we begin to flower.
Breathe. Flow. Flower.
Pause and breathe. Find your flow again. And flower.
Perhaps this simple process is something many of us need in modern life.
